A Myth Poem by Swatimalya Chattopadhyay

A Myth

Rating: 5.0

Your subtle touch
ignited spark
from my within.

Your mellowed look
merged into my eyes
permeated my inside
and occupied my entire entity.

Your affection
ostensibly garnished
with beads of emotion
overpowered me to complete submission.

You engulfed me into
an aura of self contentment,
oblivious of my past and future
I clung to my “miraged” present.

A steep decline of your love
sublimed my fragile enclosure
into effervescence.

I realized a dream so long
had inebriated me,
entailing an image of ‘you’;
it spun beautifully a tangled web
and could never come true.

‘entailing an image of ‘you’; ‘.God? [last stanza third line] for beloved? In sublime and personified… A myth or vibe in reality… because ‘overpowered me to complete submission’ compelling and captivating your whole of being…entirety…you’re ‘oblivious of my past and future’…here lies the overpowering ‘Into’ state ….where past and future muffle… And now anticlimax ‘A steep decline of your love’ though Dream still the sparkle of bubble of subconscious kept us on the Top Of The World’ …fine jockeying us thro’ your fantabulous wordsmithing Ms. Nivedita UK 10/10

it spun beautifully a tangled web and could never come true..................... yet heart engraves eternity in soul of infinity love when transcends in room of craving oh what a tangled web as when weaved moon still blinks to Tazmahal of heaven........what a passionate write by the imagery of love eternal, heart overwhelms ripping through or red of vein, yet stance seems to tremble drinking cup of illusion stuck to voluptuous magnificence, innocence of dream yet decodes the myth of obsessiveness anchored in marrow of deep gleams of white, most emotive yet evocative across the ingenuity of longing,10+++, thanksa for sharing
