I'd like to know
Found in the business
Of reading and writing poems
Sometimes meaning may be on spot
Read easily or misconstrued
Possibly ambivalent at times
Layered meanings
...a muse
Just enjoy in the moment
Savoring it, chew
Layer upon layer, stack to unstack
May unravel anew

If cryptic one may find
An inside joke or a few
Or better yet, meant
For the One who's heart it's due
If vague and submissive
With wandering thought
Undeliberate and flowing
You get what you got
Mechanics of a poem, deconstructed
Put together, then take it apart

Or just simply take at face value
Intricately, a beautiful poem
Poetic in spirit
Desiring to be known
There are many poetic Expressionists
As we look at a poem and read on
We may often stop ourselves
