A Mother's Pocket Poem by Holly Jamestone

A Mother's Pocket

There's a quiet place within each of us
Where memories reside
That we may call upon whenever
We need flashbacks of our most happy times

It's a place of comfort and unspeakable joy
That retraces our roots
And reminds us of our most tender moments
Of our child's first words and his first step

This place is always with us
And it is sewn into the fabric of our being
Because a mother is born with immeasurable grace
And will always know unconditional love

There's a special place of safety within each of us
That only another Mom can truly understand
A place where it's okay to live in this moment
Exactly where it finds us

It's a place of eventual strength and hope
That reaffirms value, dignity and
Cleanses us of all fear, as it will forever remain
A Mother's Pocket
