A Morsel Poem by Pradip Chattopadhyay

A Morsel

Rating: 4.0

you're no good
A drop of tear fell on his food
earn your meal or go to hell
in his mouth froze the morsel

the swallowed burned in his pit
wished he could vomit

then pouring they came
raindrops of shame
flooding the part eaten meal
crushing his will
ever to live again
in hunger's pain.

What a heart rending scene you have drawn! After serving food before a hungry man, if we curse his birth before him, how he would be able to relish his food... I can measure the salinity of those raindrops that come pouring from his eyes.... Very very pinching... this scene will leave a painful memory long after it is read! !
