A Monument To The Ghost Of England's Green Poem by David Lacey

A Monument To The Ghost Of England's Green

The room now lay empty
A ghost shell of tales I would tell
To children gathered within the arch.
Beyond the graveyard walls
Far beyond the cemetery gates
The priory stands
A monument to the ghost of
England's Green.
