A Moment With An Ex Poem by Chris Tasie

A Moment With An Ex

Oh, what a feeling
Hosting her in my arms once again
An illusory chance to fulfill my vows
Make her a spouse
For I am back for good
To kiss the tears away
As ever before

A pleasing moment I've longed for
But now I get, like a piece of cake
Reminiscing the scenes of the rear
Tomorrow can wait till eternity for all I care
Holding firm the pillow
I moan like a sucking baby
until a pat on body

Oh my God! a dream?
Time for class; it's eight
The innocent lad had hurt my joy
Who says I don't prefer to go late
If he knew what's at stake
He'd wait a moment more
At least lecture can wait

If not for real again, why not in dream?
Back to bed, eyes closed
But no sleep; not even winks
The sweet dream has said goodbyes
Till another day I know not
And bit by bit, the pillow gets relieved
As my hands helplessly tear apart

I stare at the roof
Nothing came but gentle sour fluid
That rolled down the cheeks
And died on my lips
No one to ease my pains
Since I wouldn't get up, he's gone for class
Absolutely ignorant of what he has caused
