A Mom's Affection Poem by sania harris

A Mom's Affection

Rating: 4.8

I remember that day like yesterday
That day I broke your favourite vase
The message, I was scared to convey
Scared to my bones for real
I hid all the pieces under my bed
And kept another in place instead
You must be very observant
Because you very quickly noticed
That your ancient vase was missing...
It was sleeping under my bed!

I slowly waited... for the worst
Any moment now, my mom would burst
I closed my eyes and stayed tight
Sat in a corner and slowly wept
A shadow neared slowly and dawdling
I looked up to see, my mom was smiling
She sat down, next to me,
Held my hands, chuckled a bit
And whispered slowly, “its okay”

That day she told me words...
Words I will never forget
‘Coz she told me she would never hurt me
For anything in the world…
And if she ever did
It would be always for the good…
Always for me…

A wonderfull message and a great way to express it. Great job, you are a great poet and your mother was a wonderfull woman. She still is, she is in heaven where all wonderfull people go when they pass on. She is taking care of some kids that never got the wonderfull gift you got that day.
