A Misguided President Of War Poem by Francis Duggan

A Misguided President Of War

George W Bush is spending billions in U S taxpayers money fighting a war in Iraq
Whilst the people he is claiming to liberate are constantly under attack
From terrorists he helped to create where thousands are injured and thousands are dead
Bush is just not up to the top job and the power it has gone to his head
With the billions of dollars that Bush he has wasted on a battle that cannot be won
With that sort of taxpayers money much better one wiser could have done
Like helping the poor of the Planet and the millions in financial strife
He could have helped millions in poverty instead he has given to millions a terrible life
The story of Bush's squandered U S taxpayers billions is not a good story at all
And memories of his term in office will not be good memories to recall
Poor Iraqis destined to suffer for decades because of one man's sad lack in foresight
The President of the World's greatest Nation yet in reality a lesser light
George W will only be remembered as a misguided President of war
Millions of people because of him are suffering in a Nation from his Nation far.
