A Mind Cleared By Drink Poem by Jennifer Parks

A Mind Cleared By Drink

Rating: 5.0

I was in need of a Vacation
From constant Contemplation
Resulting in no Explanation
So I began my Saturation
With fruity-stiff Libations
Which created an Infatuation

Of a preposterous Situation
Where the leaders of all Nations
(Represented in Clay-mation)
Toasted in divine Celebration
To their inadequate Education

Their ideas soured in Stagnation
From want of Experimentation
And their peoples died of Starvation
Or fattened from lack of Animation

Politicians perpetually schedule Litigations
Against further Third-World Migrations
Our people praying for Cessation

Of a country’s excessive Taxation
Never knowing our Imaginations

Were our ultimate Salvation.

This is absolutely wonderful! I loved every line and there was a consistent theme throughout. The absolute best kind of poetry for memory and fun. Tremendous. GW62
