You gave my soul a whole new meaning
You helped stop the internal bleeding
I wouldn't have walked these sands
If you never handed me the will to try
The rivers of life fill my hands
Without your heart, I would begin to die
You take the weight of the world
Just to protect me from the sorrow
By midnight we watch waves curl
Injecting a new day tomorrow

You helped create my structure
Bringing me into light
I would never have lived this life
Without your direction and wisdom
Inside my veins you freely flow
I'm the legacy that's left behind
I send this message to you

You brought me the astral sky
Always answering my question 'why? '
Through the deep waters I tread
Without a step to be missed
My world would've been dead
Just another casualty on the list
You're the strength that I need
The stone to lean on when I'm falling
This life has caused me to bleed
But you cured it with your calling

You take me to higher places
Far away from the corruption
These sands are always sinking
But I have you to bring me out
Ill sing of your bravery everday
Up until your own fateful day
