Listen to the sound
Of the silence in the distance
Listen to the rhythm
As our heartbeats rhyme
Listen to the whisper
Of a new sun rising
Listen to the melody
As this moment is divine

Souls entwined
She lay in his embrace
Her heart over brimming
Hands caressing his face

Looking in his eyes
She saw past his soul
The abyss of emotions
The stories untold

Her lips hesitated
To say the words left unspoken
The dove spread her wings
Her cage now open

“Hush baby now”
Said the silent tear
Dwell in this memory
Of having him so near

She held on tighter
To the part of her soul
As he lay there next to her
Unaware, untold

This memory is her’s
Just her’s to stay
She heard his whisper
Along with it, she sway
