A Man Wooing A Woman Poem by Ragy Sandid

A Man Wooing A Woman

Believe me by size, sheer size
A sight that will feast your eyes
Believe me by the friends of fame
I have the art of how to carry blame
Believe me by the currency I quote
I am stronger with you and a bank note
Believe me by seeing just my face
That tells a story told by people in my place
Believe me when I tell you what I have to say
For it was built on years past when people used to pray
Now take away my size
The feast of your eyes
Take away my fame
I can’t carry blame
My currency quote
No bank note
My face
My place
I say
Stay
