A Man's Life Poem by Hiba H Zantout

A Man's Life

From home to school, eight hours of study
Back home for more study
The several tests and surprising grades
Place the students in some weird states
Many get sick others become crazy
Those who can't think and those who become lazy
Some study very hard and are very stressed
They go to school in the morning and are not properly dressed
Day after day, stress piles up
Till they can hold no longer and crack up
Those who hold on are the successful ones
That reach the end, the place where there are the suns
They graduate from school and college and start work
They work very hard and can't even pay the clerk
They get married and have children
Stress begins about what will happen
How their children will grow up and succeed
Stress carries on with its medilations just like a weed
Affecting anyone who tries to fight
Who starts meditating and feeling the light
Stress is a dangerous problem that you cannot prevent
You can only cope with it to last till the end
Meditation, counseling, friendship, and medication help you deal with it
They are the only ways so you can live with it
