A Ludicrous Scheme - Yet Devastating!

Could you stand at all?
Being so self-righteous in your mind-setting camouflage
deceiving yourself with your own absurd sanctity of seeing the world
intertwining it with your own biased prejudice
spawning virtual pandemonium to justify your supremacy

You are the eye of the tornado
With the lanky column of nothingness
Pulverizing all means of life as you pass by
Throwing debris to every direction BUT to yourself
Roaring your eminence in the midst of your incapability of self-control

It’s a mind-boggling game you threw us in
For you keep on changing the rules as the clock is ticking
But once we complain, you accuse us for misdemeanor,
Pointing we cast you out, and walk away

And, what are we?
Collateral damage in pursuing your so-called peace of mind,
the crushed card in the domino game you happened to ‘feel like playing’?

So here we are,
picking up things where you left them.
Biting the bullet as we go,
aiming at the finish line with the rules we all know.
Seeing the tornado from afar,
No longer roaring – maybe we have gone deaf
It’s nothing but a great mess

And, could you still stand at all?
