A Lover In Waiting Poem by Joshua Mccoy

A Lover In Waiting

Touching your skin
Throbbing intense from within
You moved towards me
We shouldn’t be doing this
But I want it so bad
Just keep going
Please keep going

Am I dreaming?
My heart is racing
You brush your hand against my cheek
A lungful glance makes me weak
But it’s not right
But I can’t help it
Just keep going
Please keep going

We slip into each other
Breathing so deep
Your touch leaves me breathless
The lower half of my body falls asleep
Each touch makes me weak
I love you
Even if I fainted
I’ll be fine
My lips touch yours
This moment seems like forever
I breathe in your sweet breath
Just keep going
Please keep going

I let loose
Giving you what’s mine
You become what I love
I begin to faint
You never let it end and continue unrelentlessly
And leave me crawling on my knees
Begging for me

Nice portrayal of the desperate need for a lover. You might enjoy my poem 'Awakening' on the same theme!
