A Lovely Ghost Poem by Benjamin Tetteh

A Lovely Ghost

Your nights were long
Too long for the coming
The still room spoke
To testify your coming
Gentle winds crush my ears
In beams of light you cloth your face
O lovely ghost I watch your nose
Little jumps of fright and scares
Draining down my heart and mind
Still to note the winds were calm
You seem to look on with tender love
My life to you as sparrows egg
Though in dark you stirred my faith
Just like waters in deepest seas
Your nights were long
Too long for the coming

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Fellowship with the unseen in divinity. Especially when He seem a little further and hope begins to wither like a leaf.
