A Love Poem For Broken Hearts Poem by Silence Dogood

A Love Poem For Broken Hearts

Rating: 5.0

I wanted to write a love poem.
But I didn't know where to start.
So I began to think of you.
And wrote right from my heart.
-
Me and you aren't soulmates.
And I doubt will ever last.
But together we remain.
Despite our broken past.

And together we work well.
Atleast thats how it seems.
The problems on the surface.
Solved within our dreams.

For in our dreams we're perfect.
But in reality that's not true.
We are imperfect together.
Stuck together like white glue.

For we're stuck in our relationship.
With no clue where to go.
Each feeling so much for the other.
But unwilling to let it show.

And without a display of feelings.
Our hearts will slowly wilt.
Dying without a taste of love.
Destroying what we built.

And what we built was beautiful.
A golden palace filled with care.
A palace fit for Kings and Queens.
But you were never there.

You were never there with me.
Though you claimed we were together.
And you would say I love you.
But added no forever.

For forever's not a word you know.
Nor a word you'd say to me.
It's just another length of time.
A length of time we'll never see.

For you never see what's wrong.
And so you cannot make it right.
The confusion that is filling me.
Vanishes in your sight.

For with you theres no doubt.
Not until you go away.
And though I want this over.
I beg for you to stay.

So stay with me right now.
For alone I cannot be.
And prove to the whole wide world.
Just how much you love me.
-
I wanted to write a love poem.
But I didn't know where to start.
So I began to think of you.
And wrote of broken hearts.
