I can't believe it's been a year
Since I last saw your smiling face
It seems so wrong
So very out of place
Things had been so different
With you there close by
Now we are so far apart
As I fear each new thing I try
I sometimes think
About what you used to say
And I hope that your old sayings
Will get me through the day
