A Little While Longer Poem by mark anthony st. rose

A Little While Longer

Soft sunset touching gently
the evening portions of my skin
rescinding into the slow onslought of Night.
Oh Night! delay your coming
just a little
so that i could behold
some more the wealth of this golden gleam
streaming across the oceans of my faintless heart
embracing some more its breath taking moments
as it paints ever more beautifully,
orangely the sky,
rainbows nigh
drizzles colours dancing upon my bronze skin.
Oh Night! delay your coming,
and tell Death to wait.
