we overslept
it is 7: 30 am
and she is still
asleep

tired of last night's
activity, a chain
of conversations
but mostly about
nothing at all,

i go to the kitchen
to have my coffee
and then put it aside

got to scramble two eggs
put the sandwich in the oven
another mug on the table
two plates
a knife and fork

a leaf of lettuce
fried chicken breast from
jolibee

when she wakes up
breakfast is ready.

then i tell her
it is a lovely day.
