A Little Request Poem by jackie compton

A Little Request

When the light of day fades into the darkness of night.
Just like a old friend the moon peaks out from behind
the clouds of doubt.

Just before I lay my head down on pillows inscented deep
and close my eyes to sleep.
I get down on bending knees, and in silent I speak.

Dear Lord I hope and pray that you will send better day
my way.

I love this one too. Simple sweet prayer.
