A Little Love Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

A Little Love

Rating: 5.0

A thousand stars fall
When you fling at me a stare
While walking past me in the village fair

The sparkle in your eyes
Kindles love and passion in me
I feel in a huff I am dumped into a sea

The dark clouds hide
Behind a cluster of huts when
Of your hair you undo the tricky knots

You get lost in the crowd
I stand fixed as if in a trance
It’s because I fall in love all at once

You were no more to be seen
In the field, barn or by the river
You vanished leaving in my life a void forever

A chance meeting with a lovely girl in a village fair aroused a one-sided infatuation. The affair ended as if a dream had turned sour. The entire narrative is highly captivating. You were no more to be seen In the field, barn or by the river

Very nice, heartfelt poem. Made me sad that what once brought you happiness has now disappeared.
