A Little Guy Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

A Little Guy

Rating: 1.9

he smiles and turns verbal somersaults
not saying what rankles him most

about others who are not his kind
he attributes his faults to them

excessively proud of his achievements
as he looks down on us lesser beings

from a resume of imaginary heights
built on vaporous dreams

he speaks out of context
he is really a little guy

I'm sure I've met this guy, once or twice. He sounds so familiar. Thanks for sharing. Richard

I am glad you can write honestly about yourself, good on you and bless you

I love the musicality of this work, besides which you accurately describe all the main symptoms of 'small man syndrome'. Nice one.

A beautiful poem in which a little guy's behaviour is analysed.
