A Litle Child Walked On A Snake - Poem by Altair Laahad

his bare foot flew,
like a cotton flake;
The little child could hurry
for shelter at a nearby tree;
while the snake laid down in peace,
he rattled and grinned,
yet, never sinned
and watched up with a caprice
that the little boy could never tell
was it from heaven or from hell
