A Lion That Does Not Roar Poem by Heart Of Ink

A Lion That Does Not Roar

If this is the way my life's going to be
Chasing around jungle nightmares
Then don't rescue me

I want to harness the power of the sun
Sending these shivers through a hole
Where i'm speechless and numb

Watching your every move
Observing your attitude
If you're a lion then I think
That makes me a deer
If you can roar louder
Than my fears

But you've an unfortunate case of pride
That does not cover your tracks,
But reveals your lies

Playing your ridiculous games
Pretending like I've no shame
If you're a lion then I think
That makes me a leopard
If you can build me a home
Then that's all that matters
