A Line Poem by Kathryn Garner

A Line

Rating: 2.5

ur words have always been there
playing in the records in my mind
off stained and beautiful yesterday
that still lingers on my lips
while that darkness of tomorrow
takes the passion from my kiss

give me the blood dripping from life
that slip out of the soul
from the slit with my knife
i was always such a cold soul
when waiting for tomorrow
that lovely crimson sorrow
drink away whats left of me
whats left of my life

dont wait for life. take one
steal away or be stolen by time
chosen to be the threshhold to tomorrow
i bid goodbye to that line
so fool of hope, failure, allure
just know that you were my cure
and i chose you for my yesterdays tomorrow

cant get caught in a moment
cant get caught in a life
but for that one moment we spent
together
i believe i was caught so deeply in time
so deeply in that line
