A Lesson In Living Poem by Sonya Florentino

A Lesson In Living

Rating: 5.0

(with thanks to Mifael)

The light said STOP
But I did NOT

The light said GO
But I was GONE

HIT! by a TRUCK
KILLED! on the SPOT

Where I shouldn’t have been
If I but

STOPPED.

But I did NOT...
No time to STOP...

So much for LUCK
So, too! the TRUCK

With a sparsity of words you offer the reader a lesson on the importance of attentiveness. I like your work. It is uncluttered and quirky and you get your point across strongly. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

The light said STOP But I did NOT..........When inner light warns us to stop, we must stop other wise we would be crushed by the truck of ill fate............Good Write.......
