A Lesson From A Snail Poem by Neera Lollbeeharry

A Lesson From A Snail

A snail on a leaf boat crossing a pond, tells me a tale of simplicity.

A flimsy gamp, over its fragile head is the only protective canopy.

Her poise as she sits on her rickety raft is a lesson of grace in adversity.

Her world in slow motion mocks at me, a giant enmeshed in vain complexity.

As she steers her way to the other bank, I shame to face my own inconsistency.
