A Lesser Celandine. Poem by Fay Slimm

A Lesser Celandine.

Rating: 5.0

Carpet of dazzling gleam and greenery.
A gift of splendour, dressed in a very
Yellowy gown, round as the midday sun,
Heart-shaped leaves, darkest of green becoming
Ablaze with Celandine's lustrous glazes.
Glossy appendage to early spring days,
A daffodil challenge for golden cheer,
Graceful competitor for early year.
'Lesser' is great, and is most amazing.
For such tiny gems it's good to give praise.

You see so much beauty within and beyond. Images captured me. 'yellowy gown', 'lustrous glazes' 'daffodil challenge for golden cheer'. Your poem is exquisite. Top marks! Karin Anderson

A very capturing descriptoin of the beautiful plant whos heart-shaped leaves and yellow colored individually growing flowers show the splendor of the nativity of the plant. The upwelling phenomenon of the whole family i.e., buttercup family, is so attactive that it takes you very close to the nature and it authenticates the Nature with its beauty and vividness......10/10 Best Wishes Sameer
