A Leap Of Faith Poem by Tiger Lily Love

A Leap Of Faith

I never thought our story
Would come this far
And we still have yet to write
A whole lot more

I keep waiting for us
To go up in flames
Keep waiting for us to end
So I can assign the blame

Though there's no sign of disaster in sight
I can't help but remember
That it's when you least expect
That disaster decides to strike

But for once the skies seem to be clear
So maybe I should enjoy
How your hand brushes against mine
Maybe it's not wrong to like
The chills you send down my spine

Maybe I should enjoy
The feeling of you being close
And your breath caressing my face
Maybe it's not such a bad thing
That you make my heart race

I never thought I'd have all this doubt about you
Over flowing inside my head
But I'm ready to throw caution to the wind
And take a leap of faith instead
