A Lasting Influence Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

A Lasting Influence

Rating: 2.0

Concurrent rings within the trunk of a tree
Recording years of concentric history
Disclosing passing time… like a gauge
Telltale evidence that is revealed with age

Ripples broadcasting from a stone’s throw
Despite of the fact that weight is sinking slow
Evidence of being continues to leisurely expand
Spreading conformation… before reaching land

When time ceases for the thriving and existing
The visibility of attendance may still be persisting
Like smooth varnished wood with signs of intuition
Or gentle waves that inspire as though on a mission
