A Kiss In The Sunset

Didn't know what to do in my worthless excuse of life
But then you came along and I wanted to seal the perfect moment
With a kiss in the sunset

As if life itself waited a long time for this to happen
Just wanted to get to the lighthouse on top of that hill that I imagined
For a kiss in the sunset

In a world like this where sorrows are abundant
This heart wanted to savor a moment with you and that’s why I went
To steal a kiss in the sunset

Never believed love would be a reality
But you stepped in and it all changed so fast – it happened!
Just your lips and a kiss in the sunset

Living is a curse when living alone
So I wanted to never let you go ‘thout giving you something to remember, to hold and cherish
When I gave you that kiss in the sunset

He stood, a worn-out City clerk —

For forty years from dawn to dark —
Alone beside Caermarthen Bay.
