A Kiss In The Night Poem by Rik Bertrand

A Kiss In The Night

Rating: 5.0

I was a lonely soul, traveling through time,
I was walking on a very fine line.
Love had abandoned me, I was all alone.
I had no real place I could call home.

Then came a bump in the night,
And a kiss ever so slight.
My heart jumped, and lit a fire,
And I felt a hot passionate desire

A kiss from the unknown realms,
Like a scene from forgotten films
A kiss that came blindly in the night
And gave new meaning to life's fight

I sense that you are close by,
Of this you cannot deny.
Your kiss has left your scent
And this feeling I have I cannot relent.

Come to me and kiss me true,
Know that I will never be blue.
Bump me in the night again,
Kiss me so our love can blend.

It was just one bump and kiss in the night.
But our souls mated and it felt so right.
It is onetime moments, that will last forever
Life's little nudges can be so clever.

Come and bump me again, kiss and love me.
Devour me, take me, and set the decree.
Wrap your arms around my heart.
And with that, a new life we will start.

REB (MARCH 2012) because I felt a kiss in the night
