A Horizon In The Eyes Poem by David Thomas

A Horizon In The Eyes

Rating: 2.7

falling asleep at night,
nothing parting my dreamy waves by
except the contents of my heart
I hear finally, with my eyes,
and I see with everything else
This world is meant to break down,
for I have found to be true
that without catalization, nothing,
not even love will bore through
For after destruction comes Creation.
something I hold sacred-infinitely so-
by example only I speak to you,
what would love and good and peace be?
However overrated they may or may not be,
without the evil of this world...as I believe is
His plan... we would never feel these things
this is what rushes to mind as we stare-
the stars were bright
our eyes, full of light
I knew by end of night,
everything, It'll all be alright.
that is what I want to feel...
as our eyes meet in this blissful moonlight.
