A Heron Poem by Jean Penner

A Heron

Rating: 5.0

Soaring with wings like an angel,
A heron so peacefully flies,
Feeling a breeze soft from Heaven,
God guiding his flight in the sky.

Like a heron, our wings are empowered,
By the whisper of love that He sends,
Lifting us to higher places,
He motions the path of the wind.

With faith in the lift of His power,
We soar, like a heron on wings,
That stretch from the boundaries of heaven,
To places unknown, it seems.

But from Heaven, God sees where we’re going,
The flight he has carefully planned,
He knows the complete destination,
It awaits in the palm of His hand.

With a breath, He changes our pathway,
To a coarse that is destined by Him,
Though clouds may alter our vision,
We know who is blowing the wind.

As the wings of the heron are lifted,
They absorb the hues of the sky,
God’s gentle way of reminding,
He’s with them wherever they fly.

Soaring with wings of an angel,
Like the heron, we soar high above,
Feeling a breeze soft from Heaven,
God guiding our lives with his love.
