A Heavy Heart Poem by Moth Harris

A Heavy Heart

There's a party down the street, think I'll just stay home.
When everything gets crazy, atleast I'll never know
and I think the best part is the fact that it's my own.
The only thing I've had to regret, is that you're all alone.

You have such a heavy heart, sometimes it gets hard to lift.
I'm sorry I'm not that strong, I'm just not that fit,
but I've been doing my best, because I'd never quit.
When everything gets crazy, you're all alone.

There's an ad here in the paper, says I can buy love cheap.
I look in my heart and soul, my eyes just tend to weep.
We have something priceless in the sunshine
and it's something I'd like to keep.

And I know times aren't the best, I know you're not alright.
Have a headache in the morning and a fever by night.
I've been doing my best, because I'm just not that fit.
I'd feel stronger in the sunshine, can't we walk towards the light?
