A Hardened Heart Poem by Tinashe Mupedzapasi

A Hardened Heart

Rating: 4.0

Patch upon patch
A heart built of scars
Thick as with a hide
A fortress of canal bars

Punch after punch
Upon a broken heart
Pain dwells inside
Yet still warm is the blood

Again and again
Pain pays a visit
But I try to revive
And keep my soul living.

Like love, pain also has a work cut out for the heart- 'again and again.... Pain pays a visit'. Thanks.
