A Haiku Can'T Be Stuffed

A haiku can't be
stuffed. It keeps its summer trim:
five seven and five.

Unlike us, who stay
us, a haiku is not a
haiku when it's stuffed.

Perhaps we are like
haiku, and are not ourselves
whenever we're stuffed.
