A Gust Of Silence Poem by Charlie Brooks

A Gust Of Silence

Rating: 5.0

Never was it answered
Never was it subdued
Never was it clear
Never was it soothed

Capturing. Flying. Crying.

Nestled among todays laughter
Trapped beside yesterdays daunt
silence depicts a picture
never to be taught.

Capturing. Flying. Crashing.

Tranquility was abandoned
broken bricks and rubble layered
dust retired to the floor
never should it be spoken
rest in peace Peter.J.Mulligan
Along with many more.

With remorse the mystery still remains
a gust of silence was brought to America
conspiracies are yet to relieve any pain.

A well articulated and nicely encapsulated piece of poetry, insightfully penned with conviction, in poetic diction. I do not know Peter J Mulligan, but the poem captures the silence and controversy that trails his demise. A lovely poem indeed. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
