A Gray, Furry Intruder Invaded My House Poem by Stephanie Eve Kane Arado

A Gray, Furry Intruder Invaded My House

Flopping out of my daughter’s toy castle
Once squashed, now to carpet flop and tumble
Quiet play and coffee now unravel
Female screams and frantic motion rumble
Neighbor men left for work early morning
No one left to help the distressed damsels
Who imagine men’s laughter and yawning
At gray intruder who produced loud yells
No princesses stayed in castle or house
Seek comfort in another location
Occupants have fled thanks to a dead mouse
Furry intruder forced our vacation
Oh the power of a little gray mouse
Disrupts morning schedules, comfort and house
