A Good Return Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

A Good Return

Rating: 5.0

What poor get in return for their poverty?
Sweet words, insult hatred or pity?
Do they deserve all sorts of humility from their own brethren?
Is it not betrayal of trust to God or matter of great concern?

Rich may get what ever they want in return of money
Poor may always remain helpless and lonely
There will not be any body to speak him with love
Still many are there for them ready to serve

“I live in the hearts of poor in disguised manner”
You may not know it at all but will come to know sooner
It is their blessings that may help you to ward off the difficulties
It is better to obey His wordings and work for all niceties

If you are gifted with talent, intelligence and wealth
You may always be concerned with beauty and health
You may not go near to patient or leper for service
Sometimes you may fail to attend event such as demise

“I live where love is spread with fragrance”
You must find out or know the sufferings at least once
It is curse on humanity not to show any decency
It is now high time we act with urgency

Are we not concerned with about our next door neighbor?
Do we bear ill will or anything against harbor?
If answer is emphatic no then we are step closer
We are rich in terms of all and can’t be called miser

World may approach its consequential end
We have delivered nothing or failed to send
We have forgotten peace at heart
This is an end of good start

We don’t know yet where we are heading?
Who pulls us towards destiny or leading?
We get no clue as who feeds whole universe?
All religions teach or reflect the same I their verses

Have we ever tried to feed even single person?
Can we go into detail and find out the reason?
Does that mean that we have been given special privilege?
Still we are in confusion and don’t come out of cage

This DOGMA has remained for centuries
Rich or intelligent people have always raised some queries
The power and fame has blinded them with intoxication
Though person knows the futility but still prefers suffocation

This will end only with the summons for departure
We may still bear bad feelings and nurture
“God may still come and whisper in ears for the best”
Don’t worry, I knew it well but still I had to test”

This is how the life has to be summed up
No can easily pretend, hide or come out with bluff
If we love each other something good will definitely prevail
Why not go for in it and the chances peacefully avail
