A Girl Poem by Bing Hua

A Girl

A girl

BY Bing Hua (Rose Lu) Tr. East Sea Fairy

Made a garland with roses

You were like a meter of sunlight
bathed the garland with kisses
And left
Leaving a dream behind.

A girl
Refused the gorgeous rainbows
For a meter of sunlight

A girl
Longing, helplessly
and pining silently
For another meeting with the meter of sunlight
She kneels once again before Buddha
Making a garland for seeking that dream.
