A Ghost In The Night Poem by Sesamarna Syfyre

A Ghost In The Night

Rating: 3.8

For as night may come so shall the day
I do not fear the night for I am part of it
I know that day will come
So, in the day I shall morn for the night
But yet I know it will come

In the night I sing
I sing the song of joy and freedom
For I may flee as far as I dare wish
In the night I hunt
I hunt for those that dare disturb me
For I know that greater harm will come
If I do not get them out of the way

Try to break the binds that hold
Me in the day
I am to weak for the sun drains my power
To weak to defend myself
And to rid those that would harm me
So in the day I vanish only
To be a memory
Of the lost and forgotten

In the night I sung
I sung a song of joy and freedom
To flee as far as I dared to wish
In the night I hunted
I hunted those that would dare desturb me
For I knew that greater harm would come
I only hope that another would take my place

I am now chained even tighter
For in this cell of mine there is only chains
Chains and nightmares
Trying to remember that song I sung in the night
So I may find some kind of peace and freedom

In the night I sung
I sung a song of joy and freedom
To flee as far as I dared to wish
In the night I hunted
I hunted those that would dare desturb me
For I knew that greater harm would come
I only hope I succeeded

My tormentor gives me no mercy
I scream for forgivness that I know not
Near death I see a face that I have never seen before
My spirit soars with new hope
Only to lose the vision by my tormrnetors face
Knowing I will never see that face again
This is last of me anyone will see

In the night I sung
I sung a song of joy and freedom
To flee as far as I dared to wish
In the night I hunted
I hunted those that would dare desturb me
For I know that greater harm would come
I now wish for only to see that face once again

It called out my name
Begging and pleading not to leave it
I ask for forgiveness once again
It asks 'what is there to forgive'
My tormenter comes once again but
I know that the face won't leave me now
It stays to try and comfort me through my pain
Freeing me when my tormentor leaves

In the night I sing once again
I sing a song of freedom and love
To flee as far as I want with none to stop me
In the night I hunt again
I hunt those that would dare to hurt others
For I know that greater harm will come
For I wish to share my freedom with others

I am a ghost in the night...
