A Forbidden Love Poem by aka viper

A Forbidden Love

Rating: 5.0

Oh! Femme fatal, an elusive dream
Tormented his thought, a desire unclaimed
Warmth felt from a distant shore
Scurried to escape, his anguished soul

Her silence, a veiled affection
His writing, deadened his affliction
Softly like a butterfly whispered
Unuttered sound, a voice he inferred

Her passion burning, yet restrained
A vow heeded with wife he’d proclaimed
A love they have, transcends passion
A promise made to withstand temptation

The lover's unspoken amenity
Forever will remain in their memory
Bounded love, that bloomed unexpectedly
A fate, chosen to answer responsibly

Far into the horizon; so well understood by another soul...in mutual love or admiration.........very well brought out in your verse
