A Fool Without A Clue Poem by Srivinay Salian

A Fool Without A Clue

you mull over the pain
you covet eternal joy
you dance & die on key
like a childish toy

you weep hardest
you laugh loudest
you thrive evermore
to remain blest

your days vibrant
your nights blue
you pretend such
none bothers you

yet the shift in tide
can turn you around
you shun your peace
lose your ground

you face the mirror
and struggle to hide
masking your fears
with faith and pride

you believe to know
that thing you are
designed to live -
life, mere at par

why hold so hard
to false notions
why go through
trifling emotions

Wonder if ever
You'll learn to see
it ain’t a fancy dream
just a hollow reality

you ain’t nothing, but
an illusion craving to be true
in the deep dark cosmos
a fool without a clue
