A Flight To Catch Poem by Melanie Walendowsky Baker

A Flight To Catch

I remember that night
it's so terribly clear.
Such wonderous delight
you and me near.

We just held on tight
as though out of fear.
But I had to fight
every single last tear.

And then in the light
saying goodbye to my dear,
I had to catch my flight
and now I wish you were here.
