A Flame

You forgot to
return my wish,
or you pretend
to get cocooned
in your natural home- - -
I don't know.
You taught me
the art- - - -
how to touch
the heart,
I learned from
you and none.
Everyday I rear
a pleasant thought,
spring summer autumn
or winter either
will give me back
my lost peace.
In this winter too
when snow is falling
from the blue,
I'm under the snow-blessed
Oak tree waiting
for you,
believe me,
only for You!
A flame is still
with me for you,
ablaze with passion!

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
