A fishy day at bay

Blue wave, white foam, washing the long shore
with its tender soothing hands, brushing away
my fading memories, polishing men's rock heart, at bay

    sinking legs, wander aimlessly across the shore, holding hand
    sometimes alone, like two creepers intertwined, joy and sorrow guise
    the breaking dawn, sun rises, to the silent command of magic wand
    I look upon through the net, the arid faces, ripping hungry and fiery eyes..

    Excellent write. Beautiful picture scape, Congrats on your win, Regards WILLIAMSJI MAVELI (Report) Reply

    Vivid imagery makes the poem come alive! However, I would have loved it still more had the rhythm of the first three stanzas been maintained in the last two. The first stanza promised much more! ! A talented poet, who can only mature with the passage of time....like goode olde wine.... (Report) Reply

    There is Solitude,
    There is Nostalgia,
    There is the right mix of Subtlety and flow of life..

    The initial stanza brings in certain feeling akin to that of admiring a Water Color painting...
    The poem travels through various stages of creative narration and creative imagination..
    and the last one..
    the last one blazes into reality.

    It was a soothing experience reading through... All the very best. (Report) Reply

    The life stands as vast spread ocean
    It presents with blue water scene
    So deep yet presents with dilemma
    Person fails to think as if in comma (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet James Whitcomb Riley

There! little girl; don't cry!
They have broken your doll, I know;
And your tea-set blue,
And your play-house, too,
Are things of the long ago;
