...A Few More Words On Money... Poem by TMA

...A Few More Words On Money...

Money isn’t the answer to most of life’s questions –
But it’s a pretty good guess
’Cause when the choice is between
Crying bitter tears, out in the cold
Into your filthy garments;
And crying bitter tears in your palace
Into your velvet pillow;
Then comfortable misery
Beats impecunious misery
Every time.

Money can’t buy a friendship
But it can buy a yacht
And some people prefer
Partnerships to companionship
But like cruise ships most of all –
The warmth of loving, and being loved;
Replaced with fur coats and central heating
And the spark of affection
With the glint of carats.

Money can’t buy contentment –
Money can’t buy you peace
Money can’t buy you Love
Or fill the emptiness
And give your life meaning…
Some things are priceless
Some things money can’t buy…
But what of the man
Who has not a cent to his name
And has not even those? ? ? ! ! !

An ouch to the end of this poem TMA! A very revealing and truthful poem though...money does keep the lights on! I'm sure most questions have a ring of having money making about them. If only we could go back to bartering? Smiling at you Tai
