A Father's Legacy Poem by Aaron Wyton Greenwood

A Father's Legacy

My advice, son:

Alphabetise(!)

Be brave: converse, don’t confront.

Dance.

Education, education, education.

Friendship, gratitude, and humour.

Joy, kindness...imperfection.

Laugh, listen, learn.

Love. Love.

McCartney, Metallica, Mozart; Music!

Never say ‘never.’

Offer, originality, parity, and quality.

Reason over religion. Right, not wrong.

Spelling, spontaneity, subtlety.

Travel, talk, and thank.

Unafraid, unarmed, unashamed.

Vast, varied vocabulary.

Wait, weep, wish, and withstand.

Excel (or don’t) .

Youthfulness. Yourself. You.

A very original form of writing. Written in alphabetical order, with no connectives putting great emphasis on each word alone. Also its quite clever as to how its written in a way to make it easy for the child to understand. Brilliant
